Ayurveda, the science of life, is a 5,000 year old Indian based holistic approach to mind-body medicine. It’s considered the foundation of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self healing.
During this 90 minute Workshop we will break down the fundamentals of Ayurveda in an easy to digest format and provide you with the necessary tools to support a balanced life!
You will learn about the Elements, the Doshas and the Seasons and the pivotal role they play in what’s happening in your mind and body. We’ll also talk about Ayurvedic eating for optimal health and making small lifestyle changes to support healthy digestion!
This Workshop is led by Danna, a Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.

A minimum and maximum number of people are required so register early.
Yoga Nidra – practiced for thousands of years – is also known as yogic sleep. The practice involves the use of guided imagery, breath work and physical awareness. You will experience a deep, meditative, relaxation state while in Savasana.
The posture known as Savasana (corpse pose) is used throughout your practice. You will maintain this position for almost an hour. While in Savasana awareness of your true self is realized. You may recognize Savasana as it is commonly done at the end of your regular yoga practice. Studies have shown an hour of Yoga Nidra equates to about 4 hours of sleep.
Benefits include deep relaxation, reduced insomnia and improved sleep. You will experience increased energy, improved meditation, and lower blood pressure. Expect decreases in pain, improved mental clarity and a more balanced state.
This is an hour class but please allow yourself a few extra minutes in case we go over. Please bring a yoga mat and if you would like to bring a blanket you are welcome to do so. Dress warm and comfortable. The further you move into relaxation the cooler your body temperature will become.
